  • The aim of this research is to find the correlation between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction in employees in PT X Company. Emotional intelligence known as an individual ability to recognize and manage their own emotion, including when they are facing situation with much pressure, to direct their thought and behaviour, so that they can give the right responses when interact in environment. Meanwhile, job satisfaction is an employee’s attitude, related to their satisfaction of their job. The hypothesis says that there is a positive correlation between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction in employees in PT X Company. Sample of this research is the employees who work in PT Company, which is located in Jakarta. The hypothesis analysis using Pearson correlation yields r (174) = 0,473 and p/sig = 0,000, p < 0,01. It means, there is a positive and sifnificant correlation between emotional intelligence and job satisfaction in employees in PT X Company. The conclusion is the higher emotional intelligence, the higher their job satisfaction.
