- This study aims to determine the relationship of self-esteem and delinquency in adolescent boys. Self-esteem is the assessment or evaluation made by the person himself. Assessment positively affects the adolescent to behave well, not interfere with the community and not against the law. Delinquency is all forms of disruptive behavior, or damage the welfare of people who usually done by adolescent under the age of 18 years, with the motive for attention, social status, and awards of the environment. This study uses quantitative methods to using questionnaires to 219 adolescent boys aged 14-18 years. Data analysis using Pearson correlation and the data processed using SPSS 15.0 for windows. The results showed that rs = -0.299, p <0.01. Can be concluded that there is a negative relationship and significantly between self-esteem and delinquency. That is, the higherself-esteem of adolescent boys, the lower the tendency to behave delinquency. Conversely, the lower self-esteem of adolescent boys, the higher the tendency to behave delinquency.
