Intimacy is dynamic and interactive process that is based upon mutual trust and respect. The marriage age is grouped into four types: newlywed marriage, parental marriage, mid-life marriage, and later-life marriage. Newlywed marriage is a spouse which just got married and hasn’t got any first child. Parental marriage is a spouse who has first child until their child grows up into teenager. Mid-life marriage is a spouse whose child or children leaving their parents’ house. Later-life marriage is a spouse which become elders, have grandchild or grandchildren, or retired. This research consist of 384 respondent men and women who live in Jakarta representing marriage age category. This research using accidental sampling technique. Using Kruskal Wallis difference test, the score of chi-square (X2) is 104.105 and the score of sig/p is 0.000 which is smaller than 0.05. Based on those scores, the conclusion is that there is intimacy difference among spouses based on their marriage age. Based on their marriage age, intimacy difference is seen as a U-shaped curve, intimacy increases on newlywed marriage, decreases on parental marriage and mid-life marriage, and then increases again on later-life marriage.
