- The aim of this research is to find the relations between big five personality with Altruism Behavior. The total subjects of this research are 141 nurse.According to Costa & McCrae can be categorized into five types of personality or the big five personality. Five personality is Openness to experience (O), Consciousness (C), Extraversion (E), Agreeableness (A), Neuroticism (N). Known as the OCEAN. Eagly and Crowley argued that the behavior is the behavior altruism not be selfish and interested to help other people, so it can help patients. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics with SPSS program 15th version. The result of this research shows that agreeableness, indicator modesty tipe of personality has higher and extraversion, indicator assertiveness tipe of personality has lower. The nurses with the type of the identity agreeableness had the behavior altruism that tended high.
