- The purpose of this study is to find the correlation between self-esteem and assertive behavior on late adolescence who in relationship based on perception parenting styles. Self-esteem is one's evaluation of one's worth as a person cased on assessment of the qualities that they perceive themselves as having. :-.,ssertive behavior involves describing your feelings, thoughts, opinions, and preferences directly to another person in an honest and appropriate way that -espects both yourself and the other person. The subject's number in this study is 189 persons. Data has been collected quantitatively through questionnaire and analyzed using Spearman correlation. The results are: (a) r (8) = 0,476 and p > 3.05. The conclusion that there is no correlation between self-esteem and assertive behavior based on authoritarian parenting style; (b) r (35) = 0.337 and p < 0.05. The conclusion that there is correlation between self-esteem and assertive behavior based on authoritative parenting style; (c) r (143) = 0,257 and p < 0,01. The conclusion that there is correlation between self-esteem and assertive behavior based on permissive parenting style; (d) r (3) = 0,500 and p > 0.05.
