- Most people consider that having a child is associated with happy marital life. However, researches also reported that having a child creates marital changes, and couples must readjust themselves in conducting marital life. This research is aimed at finding whether there is correlation between the couples” attitude of having a child and marital adjustment between young adult couples (aged 21 - 40). 48 couples from Karawaci, Tangerangvoluntarily participated in this non-experimental research. The analysis was conducted by Pearson Product Moment. The result indicates that there is positive correlation (0,358) between the marital adjustment and attitude of having a child.
