- Individual who is entered late adulthood phase will experience both physical and psychological changes. One of the psychological change is loneliness. Loneliness on late adulthood usually comes in the form of feeling forgotten, unwanted and feeling rejected. The place and the people that stayed with them affect the degree of loneliness on late adulthood. This research is conducted to find out the difference in loneliness between late adulthood that stayed at nursing home compare with those who stayed with their family. Subject in this research are 60 individual elderly who ages is 65 years old and above. The 60 subject 4from Kabupaten Tangerang, Banten consist of 30 subject who stayed at Melahia nursing home and 30 subject who stayed with their family. Instrument of collecting data in this researches is in theform of questioner. The conclusion of 1 this researches show the following finding there is a difference on loneliness between those who stayed in nursing home and those stayed with their family,with t (56) = 5,541, p < 0,01. This figure show that, individuals who stayed in nursing home have a higher feeling of loneliness compare with individuals who stayed with their family.
