- Obesity is a problem that relates to physical appearance. Adolescent girls are concerned With their phySical appearance, and their inability to meet with the standards in the society may influence their self esteem. This research is trying to find out the correlation between obesity and self esteem of the obese female teenagers. Quantitative description using questionnaires was used for data collection. Data analysis was conducted by Pearson Correlation Technique. The result indicates score at 0.495 (p = 0.495; p>0.05) at correlation point of -0,001 (r = -0,001). This Significant correlation maybe influenced by other factors such as parental relationships and subjects' competencies “in other areas, ;which compensate their obesity.
