- When human develop into teenagers, they start to face a variety of conflicts because of changes happening at the same time. These conflicts will affect physically handicapped teenagers in a greater consequence; that generate self confidence problems among them. Self confidence is an important aspect of life in order to succeed in human’s life. In order to enhance positive self confidences, social support holds a significant role. The purpose of this research is to determine the correlations between self confidence and social support among physically handicapped teenagers. The research was done by collecting data from 93 students of YPAC Jakarta. The measurement was conducted by using questionnaire of self confidence and social support. The data was analyzed by using Pearson Product Moment correlation testing method provided by SPSS program for Windows 12.0 version with a significant level of 1% (0.01). The findings of this research show that there is a significant correlation between self confidence and social support with a score of rxy (93) = 0.870, p = 0.000 < 0.01.
