  • Qualified teachers are very important in education. Therefore, there are a lot of researchers are doing research in the development of teachers quality. One of teachers challenge is the present of student with learning difficulties (LD). Students with LD are usually not well treated, because they don’t show any difference with other students. The present of students with LD becomes a challenge for most teachers who don’t possess special education teaching skills. These teachers tend to feel not competence to teach students with LD. They have low self-efficacy in handling students with LD. In this research, a psycho education is prepared to help teachers developing their self-efficacy. This is a quasi-experimental research with 20 participants. All participants are elementary teachers, both male and female. The age range is between 21 to 45 years old. Their education background is mostly bachelor degree, both in education and non-education. This research design is pretest-posttest control-group design. Data are analyzed with Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The result of this research shows that there is no significant effect to teachers’ self-efficacy in handling students with LD. The theories, sample, instrument, research design, and extraneous variables are discussed. Inputs for this research are to control the procedures of sample taking and extraneous variables, to better adapt the instrument, to develop more detail material with examples, and to provide more trainings in special education area for teachers.
