- Self concept refers to the description of a person about herself that was made by social interaction. The self concept is about everything that people feels and thinks about herself. A couple with fully appreciate each other in the dating relationship is going to an establishment of positive self concept. When an individual suffered violence during a dating period (dating violence) she will make an evaluation about herself. The experience of suffering violence during dating time can influence female adolescence self concept. This research was made to understand the violence experiences in the dating time that influence female adult self concepts. Interview was held in three months, during the September 18th until November 23th 2005. Five of research subjects are the female adolescence who were being in dating time and suffered violence. Phisical abuses in relationship have brought about positive self concept an the five individuals, but among the five, three have negative self concept also. Recommendations for the five individuals are to be more open to family members and to have a close relationship with God. Aside from that, the victims should report to the police or KOMNAS PEREMPUAN.
