- The amount of homosexuals in Indonesia that reaches 17,5 millions proves that their existences can’t be denied. Basic emotions on homosexuals, especially lesbians who haven’t coming out, are similar with the basic emotions from self discrepancy. Therefore, the aim of this research is to get the images of self discrepancy on lesbians who haven’t coming out in their early adulthood. Self discrepancy itself is incongruity between reality that is perceived by individuals, with hopes or pressures that are given by people to them. This research uses qualitative method with in-depth interview to three lesbian subjects. The research results show that the most notable discrepancy on lesbians who haven’t coming out is actual/own versus ought/other. Ought/other from parents that considers lesbians are mistake becomes the reason why developmental stage of coming out is stopped on identity acceptance stage which is the fourth stage in developmental stage where lesbians should have done coming out to friends and certain family members.
