- The Objective of the reseacrh is to investigate whether or not the use of interactive multimedia to improve the comprehension on the Concept of Earth Structure of the 5th- grade students of SD Negeri Karangtengah 3 of Sragen Subdistrict of Sragen Regency in the AcademicYearof 2010/2011. This research used the action research methods, which was conducted in two cycles. The subject of this research consisted of the 5th- grade students of SD Negeri Karangtengah 3 of Sragen Subdistrict of Sragen Regency in the AcademicYearof 2010/2011 as many as 29 students. The data of this reseacrh were gathered trough interview, observation, test, and documentation. The data were then analyzed by using interactive analysis model consisting of components, namely: data reduction, data dysplay, and conclusing drawing. Based on the analysis, the results of this research are follow: 1) there is an improvement in the students average score indicated by the ratio in the students average score the cmprehension on the concept of Earth Structure among that in the first cycle, and the second cycle of 58:72:74; and 2) there is an improvement in the percentage of the students classical completeness as indicated by the ratio im the percentage of their classical completeness among that in the pre-cycle condition, that in the first cycle, and that in the second cycle of 41:72:82. Based on the results of in this research, a conclusion is drawn that the use of the interactive multimedia can improve the comprehension on the concept of Erath Structure of the 5th- grade students of SD Negeri Karangtengah 3 of Sragen Subdistrict of Sragen Regency in the AcademicYearof 2010/2011.
