- Information is investor’s basic need for investing decision. It can decrease the uncertainty, so decision that has been made will achieve the purpose. Including such of information is the announcement of stock split. It will be so much valuable in the existence of the information cause the investor makes trading in the stock market and that will be reflected from stock price changing and stock trading activity. The main issue of this research is the stock split announcement effect on return, abnormal return and trading volume activity on each and all stock in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The methodology of this research explored by event study which using historical data series implemented in purposive sampling method. The model used in this research is market model and to measure the effect of stock split announcement on return, abnormal return and trading volume activity on each and all stock in Indonesia Stock Echange used statistic test, t- test. Based on the results of this study found that the overall return for shares no significant effect on stock split announcement, although the test individually in a single issuer return in period to t-9 & t +9 showing signifikan.Sedangkan influence on abnormal returns to whole shares no significant effect on stock split announcement. While the trading volume test for the overall stock activity showed a significant influence on stock split announcement, although the individual tests there are six listed companies in period t-10, t-9, t-7, t-4, t-3, t-2 & t +2, t +3, t +4, t +7, t +9, t +10 that showed no significant effect on stock split announcement.
