  • ABSTRACT The Temperature Combustion Optimation of a Raw Material Tile To Increase The Quality Of Ceramic Tile In Kemiri, Kebakkramat, Karanganyar Isti Nurjannah Hajiyanti M 0202032 It has been conducted a research about ceramic tile in Kemiri, Kebakkramat, Karanganyar. Procedure of combustion is conducted by using the combustion velocity 135°C/hour, the initial temperature (27°C) and the variety of the combustion temperature, those are 500°C, 600°C, 700°C, 800°C, 900°C, and 1000°C. The best result of the research is combustion process with combustion temperature 900°C. Whereas the research variable shows some points, those are having dark red colour; being no crack visibly; having fine texture; being no curvature; having the combustion reduction (Sb) (1.15±0.03) %; having the good tenacity of water infiltration that indicated by there is no drops of water on the ceramics surface, having densitas (ρ) (1.64±0.01) gr/cm3 ; and having the difraction strength (k) (270±7)10-4 N/m2 . The thermal conductivity of ceramic tile is (3.5±0.2)10-2 kcal/mhr°C.
