- Study of Resistivity Characteristic x-Sn y-Al Alloy As An Alternative of Friendly Solder Materials to Environment Written by Fredi Yuastiarso M0298035 Physics Department of Mathematics and Sciences Faculty of Sebelas Maret University in Surakarta It has been made x-Sn y-Al alloys with 11 variations of x and y value. The electrical characteristic of these alloy compositions was used to obtain the resistivity characteristic by means of macroscopically resistivity calculation with involving the dimension and resistance of those samples. The resistance of a sample was obtained by using the Ohm’s law. From those various compositions, the composition with lowest resistivity was determined. The resistivity related to the changing of composition of alloys indicating that from pure Sn to Sn % 80 resistivity was increasing then decreasing irregularly to pure Al composition. These nine x-Sn y-Al alloy compositions had higher resistivity than pure Sn and pure Al. Hints: x-Sn y-Al Alloy, composition, electrical characteristic, dimension, resistance, resistivity, Ohm’s law.
