Soeharso Surakarta. Thesis: Study Program of Family Medical Magister, Postgraduate Program, Surakarta Sebelas Maret University. Background: The physician professionalism can be seen from the physician behavior in giving the health care service including the implementation of patient safety program. The objectives of research are to examine and to analyze 1) the effect of nurse’s perception, knowledge, and motivation on the implementation of patients safety program, 2) the effect of nurse’s perception, knowledge, and motivation partially on the implementation of patients safety program in the Inpatient Room of RSO Prof. Dr. R. Soeharso Surakarta. Research method: The study belongs to an explanatory research and the data analysis method employed was a multiple regression test. Result of research: The result of research shows that: firstly, the nurse’s perception, knowledge on patient safety, and motivation affect simultaneously the implementation of patient safety program. It can be seen from the F statistic test at significance level of 95% with the regression result of 12.801 higher than F table = 9.55 indicating that the effect is strong. Secondly, partially, the nurse’s perception on the patient safety affects positively and significantly the implementation of patient safety program. It can be seen from the tstatistic test value at 95% significance level of 1.778 > ttable 1.679 indicating that the effect of variable is strong. Thirdly, partially, the nurse’s knowledge on the patient safety affects positively and significantly the implementation of patient safety program. Fourthly, the nurse’s motivation on the patient safety affects positively and significantly the implementation of patient safety program. It can be seen from the tstatistic test value at 95% significance level of 2.360 > ttable 1.679 indicating that the effect of variable is strong. Conclusion: The nurse’s perception, knowledge on patient safety, and motivation affects simultaneously and partially the implementation of patients safety program.
