  • Nowadays, industrial waste causes pollution to the environment, especially river stream. For example, the waste of electroplating industries is still containing chrome metal above the concntration by adsorption method. The purpose of this reserach was to know volumetric mass transfer coefficient (kca) value of chrome adsorption. This research had been done in a stirrer tank using eceng gondok as adsorbent. Every 30 minutes, the liquid warte from the stirrer tank was anlyzed using AAS, so we knew how much chrome concntration after adsorption process. By comparing chrome concentration of experiment an calculation, volumetric mass transfer coeficient value (kca) value can be obtained.
