- ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komponen minyak atsiri bunga cengkeh basah (S.aromaticum) yang diperoleh dengan distilasi uap dan air, dan untuk mengetahui bioaktivitas minyak atsiri bunga cengkeh basah (S.aromaticum) terhadap antibakteri S.pneumoniae dan E.coli. Penelitian menggunakan cara distilasiuap dan air dan dilakukan analisis dengan GC-MS (Gas ChromatographyMass Spectrometry). Hasil penelitian diperoleh minyak atsiri sebanyak 50 mL. Hasil uji GC-MS menunjukkan adanya senyawa eugenol (87,52%), kariofilen (7,64%), eugenol asetat (2,60%), alfa-Humulen (0,95%) dan Metil Salisilat (0,31%). Aktivitas minyak atsiri bunga cengkeh basah terhadap bakteri S.pneumoniae dan E.coli menunjukan zona hambatan dengan kategori hambatan sedang sampai sedang.Kata Kunci: Bunga cengkeh basah, distilasi uap dan air, GC-MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), antibakteri, Streptococcus pneumoniae danEscherichia coli.ABSTRACKThe objective of this research to know the components of essential oills of wet clove flowers (S.aromaticum) that was obtained by steam and water distillation, and to know the bioactivity of essential oils of wet clove flowers (S.aromaticum) against antibacterial S.pneumoniae and E.coli antibacterial. This research used steam and water distillation and analyzed using GC-MS (Gas ChromatographyMass Spectrometry). The results of this research was obtained 50 mL of essential oils. The result of GC-MS test results showed that was eugenol componds (87.52%), carpyophllene (7.64%), eugenol acetate (2.60%), alpha-humulene(0.95%) and Methyl Salicylate (0.31%). The activity of essential oils of wet clove flowers against S.pneumoniae and E.coli bacteria showed obstacle zone with a medium to moderate category.Keywords: wet clove flowers, steam and water distillation, GC-MS (gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry), antibacterial, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Escherichia coli.
