- Problem in environmental such as foolds, erosion, landslides, droughts, poverty and others, that is becoming because of the development does not give an attention to the concept of environmental carrying capacity. the carrying capacity of the environment is not a new concept, but recently began to considered again. this concept, firsly states by odum in 1971 and was developed by researchers afterwards. environmental capability must be considered to supporting sustainable development. biotic and abiotic aspects must be taken into consideration. water, soil and air are very important things in life. likewise with living things. the harmony of the enfiromental carrying capacity will make sustainable development run smoothly. the balance between economics and ecology must be focus, so that humans can enjoy the result of sustainable development
