- The home garden is the local wisdom in Indonesia, including in Minangkabau community in Sumatera Barat. The home garden can contribute to food security especially for the household. The grade of well managed home garden can be reflected either on its agrobiodiversity. The purpose of this study was to analyse the structure of home garden agrobiodiversity in Taeh Bukit Village, Lima Puluh Kota District, West Sumatra. This study was conducted from June to November 2016, using survey methods. Plant identification has been carried out based on the plant species and varieties, the main utilization of plant product for the household, and the height of plant. The structure of home garden agrobiodiversity was determined by the number of relative density, relative frequency, sum dominance relative, and Shanon-Wiener biodiversity index. The results show that the home garden agrobiodiversity in Taeh Bukit Village was high with the number species of plants are 109 and the value of the biodiversity index are 3.52. The structure of home garden agrobiodiversity in Taeh Bukit Village was similar to agroforestry structure. It has the contribution of the household and community food security, the conservation of genetic resources and the environmental services.
