- The purpose of this study was to identify the forms of participation, supporting factors and inhibiting factors of participation and to know the impact of tourism development on Tablanusu village community.This research uses qualitative descriptive method, with data collection technique through observation, interview, and document study. This research was conducted in Kampung Tablanusu. Informants in this study amounted to 17 people selected by purposive sampling technique. The theory used is the theory of participation and theory of Community Based Tourism.The results of this study reveal the form of participation in the planning, implementation, and supervision phases. Factors that influence participation are divided into two factors: the driving factors and the inhibiting factors. Factors that encourage participation are internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are age group, education level, occupation type and income level whereas external factors are location of work place, work condition and management policy.
