- This research is motivated by the fact that the students' interest in studying social studies in the fifth grade of SD Negeri 132 Seluma is still low. This is because in the learning process of social studies in class the students are still facile and less interested, tend to the lecture method. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Scramble method on social studies interest in fifth grade students at SD Negeri 132 Seluma The research method used is quantitative Quasi Experimental, with the research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection techniques are questionnaire, observation and decomentation. The data analysis technique uses t-test. From the results of the study concluded that there is an effect of the scramble method on social studies interest in fifth grade students at SD Negeri 132 Seluma. This can be seen from the tcount obtained is 3,294 while ttable = 2,008, then tcount is greater than ttable both at the significance level of 5%. Thus the working hypothesis which states in this study is accepted, that there is an effect of the Scramble method on the interest in learning social studies of fifth grade students at SD Negeri 132 Seluma.
