- The tendency of the lack of knowledge about the management and environmental protection of students is still high. Implementation of environmental education has been done but there are various obstacles, including the limitations/willingness of relevant materials and raises environmental issues around the real. This article describes the analysis of the utilization of local potency-based modules as an alternative environmental education teaching materials in the College to improve students' environmental knowledge. This study is a literature study with the stages are: data collection and data analysis conducted in November-December 2018. Data collected in the form of secondary data, while data analysis is done descriptively qualitative. The results of the analysis can be concluded that the use of local potency-based modules can be used as an alternative environmental education material. The use of local potential-oriented modules and problem-solving in the surrounding environment can improve learning outcomes significantly to both cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects.
