  • This research aims to determine the differences in students' mathematical problem solving abilities based on the interaction between learning methods and the level of the Mathematical Habits of Mind. This research is an experimental research with the population of the subject is all students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Sindang academic year 2017/2018. The two classes of sample were taken by using cluster random sampling technique by drawing them. Choosing class of VII B as experiment class I which use of guided discovery learning method and class of VII E as experiment class II which use of expository learning method. Based on the two-way ANAVA analysis test, the following conclusions there are differences in students' mathematical problem solving abilities based on the interaction between learning methods and the level of the Mathematical Habits of Mind. The results of further tests using the Scheffe test showed that the student using guided discovery learning methods on mathematical problem solving abilities with a high level of Mathematical Habits of Mind was better than the expository learning method.
