- The operation of a company in the area of protected forests and national parks did not make the interests pursued by the public and local governments are always relate with environmental problems. This can be seen in the case of PT Sorikmas Mining in Mandailing Natal operational which is located in a national park. Most interest conveyed to the community is related to economic issues. This study aims to see the benefit of what is promoted by local governments, communities and PT Sorikmas Mining as well as how to use the resources and strength possessed by each actor in achieving its objectives. Researchers used qualitative research methods with techniques of collecting data through interviews, observations and then draw conclusions from these data. The results obtained from this study is the interests of the most widely promoted by people not associated with environmental issues but economic problems. A variety of measures have been undertaken by the community to achieve its interests, but until now these interests, both economic interests and environmental management have not got a clear follow-up of the company
