  • In recent years the financial crisis has engulfing the world, not only small countries that were affected, but large countries that have a good fiscal and monetary systems are also affected. United States and European countries are also affected, even very serious. World economic crisis is much influenced by several factors. The main factor is a very significant influence of excessive loan banking policy. Excessive borrowing will also increase leverage, which certainly will be difficult to lower it. Also cause increased levels of private consumption that eventually increase inflation rate.Market discipline is expected to put the brakes on increased leverage and excessive borrowing. In conventional financial institutions, all the business risk will be imposed on financial institutions and entrepreneurs. As the party depositors who have funds are not given responsibility for business risk. This suggests that the absence of risk sharing reduces market discipline and this shows the failure of the conventional financial system.The presence of Islamic financial system that must be aligned with the principles of sharia to achieve greater justice for the community, of course, as a way out which is needed by society. Indonesia Islamic banking has proved resistant to shocks financial crisis, even growing quite rapidly. But the development of Islamic banking compared to national banks, donations are very small, Total asesets of Islamic banking not more than 4%. There are several obstacles to accelerating the growth of Islamic banks, one of which is the problem of liquidation. To overcome these obstacles the authors propose to form a Islamic Central Bank, which serves as the Bank IndonesiaThe nature of this paper is the study of literature, which takes its source from a variety of books, both published studies and those that are not published, journals and articles relating to financial institutions, especially Islamic financial institutionsThis paper is expected to contribute to the development of Islamic economics, especially in the development of Islamic financial institutions better. The challenge of Islamic financial institutions is still very long and heavy, so it needs to support ideas and studies in order to fight the incessant rush of the capitalist economy
