  • The human energy consumption increased as the rapid development of technology. Nowadays, non-renewable fossil fuel is still mostly used as the main source to fulfill the highly demand of energy. In that case, the solution for alternative and renewable energy is needed in order to help the highly demand of energy consumption and minimize the use of non-renewable fossil fuel. One of the alternative solution is Microhydro Power Plant which is using the waterflow in irrigation or a river. The study was conducted on Desa Suralaga, Kabupaten Lombok Timur in some irrigation around the rice field. The aim of this study is to find the Microhydro Power Plant effectivity with diameter of the turbine blade from 640 mm, 590 mm and 540 mm, with diameter of bucket from 210 mm, and 300 mm in width. The total height used for this study is 0,69 mm with the waterflow rate 4,2 m/s. The results of the study shows that the turbine with 640 mm of blade diameter has the highest performance with 938,64 W of water power constant, 51,91 W of turbine power, 15,03 N.m of turbine torsion, 5,53% of turbine efficiency with 46,7 rpm speed. The turbine generate 47,16 W of power, with 0,6105 of tip ration, and 42,1 rpm of rotation which is able to power a 21 W, 24 V lamp. Meanwhile, the turbine with 540 mm of blade size shows the lowest performance, with 938,64 of water power constant, 31,09 W of turbine power, 11,18 N.m of turbine torsion, 3,31% of turbine efficiency with 42,1 rpm speed, which is able to generate 24,77 W of power, with 0,5551 of tip speed ratio and 46,6 rpm of rotation.
