  • This research was aimed to analyze about type of teacher‟s written feedback and students‟ perception after getting teacher‟s written feedback in students‟ writings. The total number of population was 174 students. The sample of the research was taken by using cluster random sampling. It took 33 students at tenth grade of SMKN 8 Mataram in academic year 2016/2017. This research was conducted by using qualitative descriptive method. The instruments used were documentation of students‟ writings which had been given teachers‟ written feedback and questionnaires. In questionnaire, the researcher used open ended questions to obtain information from students about teacher‟s written feedback in their writings. The data from documentation of students‟ writings were categorized to find out the type of teacher‟s written feedback and open ended questionnaires were calculated in percentage based on students‟ free answers. The result of the research showed that the teacher mostly used direct feedback 92.19% (providing explicit correction) rather than indirect feedback (without providing correction directly) 7.81%. From questionnaires, the result also showed (1) teacher‟s written feedback was extremely objective, (2) teacher‟s written feedback was clear, (3) teacher‟s written feedback was comprehensible, (4) teacher‟s written feedback extremely assisted, (5) teacher‟s written feedback was encouraging, and (6) teacher‟s written feedback was undisturbed (proportiona
