- Abstract - Mental disorders are conditions that affect human thinking, feeling, mood and behavior at any age including children. This research creates an expert system that can diagnose mental disorders for children. To get the result of expert system, this research uses Dempster Shafer method. Each symptom data has a belief value as the initial value to get a result in Dempster Shafer method. The tests used in this research were black box, theoretical calculation, accuracy, laboratory and questionnaire. Comparison of theoretical calculations and calculations on the system gives the same result. Laboratory testing using 40 cases that may properly given by experts and accuracy testing using 40 cases of medical records, both gave the same result that is 95%. In addition, this application has also been tested by experts and the community directly to assess whether the system is running properly or not. Based on MOS (Mean Opinion Score) parameter, the system has worked properly with the score of 4,44 of 5 scale.
