- This thesis studied about The Fault in Our Stars: A Comparative Study between the Novel and The Movie. The objectives of this research are to find out the characters portrayed and how the plot constructed in the novel and the movie of The Fault in Our Stars. This research used Eneste theory of Ecranisation to analysis the reduction, addition, and modification. This research used descriptive qualitative, the data collected from the intrinsic elements of novel and film. In collecting data, the researcher used note taking as the instrument to find out the reduction, addition, and modification of novel into film. In addition, the researcher found that reduction, addition and modification influenced to the change of some intrinsic elements in both of fiction.
