- Increasing of social and environment problems arising of corporate operation and corporate existence legitimacy, leads to ethical corporate responsibility not only for economic performance achievement, but also for social and environment performance to maintain company's survival in line with diverse stakeholders interests. The purpose of this study to identify CSR practices of the hotel and tourism services companies listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange. Content analysis approach was used to identify the implementation of CSR activities which published on 2012's corporate annual report. Research findings showed that all of the companies which were analysed tend to perform CSR as social philanthropy in form of charity donation. Most of companies (85%) focus on internal stakeholders (employees), but only 62% of companies give attention to environmental responsibility. Several companies (23%) seem to implement CSR as long-term sustainable program, while others (77%) still perform CSR as a short-term strategy to gain legitimacy and to build a positive image for economic performance enhancement. The rising of public awareness on CSR, has consequences for hotel industry to enrich stakeholder relation and adopt more attention and action focusing on responsible tourism approach to longterm sustainable improvement. Practical implications of CSR implementation is being a sustainable efforts and integral part of corporate activities and business strategy.
