- he aims of this thesis entitled are to find out types of codeswitching, and to know the waycode switching construct the Socialidentity in Deddy Corbuzier youtube Motive Channel. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method to analyze the data inthis thesis. Data were collected by documentation of video which takenfromYouTube. The result showed that the dominant type of code switching used by Deddy corbuzier in his youtube channelis Metaphorical Code switching (136 utterances) andfollowed by Situational Code Switching (69 utterances)from 5 videos. The last finding was identity that Deddy try toconstruct in his youtube channel motive.The writer found that there are two identities that Deddy Corbuzier try to show in almost all his videos. Deddy used code swithing to show his social identity as professional host and educated host.
