This study &#xD; was using descriptive qualitative method and the procedure of error analysis to describe the &#xD; errors made by students in writing descriptive text. 28 students of XI TAV A were taken as &#xD; the sample of the study. The data was collected through single test instrument with six &#xD; topics provided (i.e. my home, my best friend, my favorite place, my idol, a country I want &#xD; to go, a profession I want to be) to the students. This study was trying to find errors made &#xD; by students in the final version of their writing. This study focused on error analysis such as &#xD; omission, addition, misformation, and misordering. The errors could be marked by &#xD; attaching abbreviation for each type of error. The abbreviations are omission (OM), &#xD; addition (AD), misformation (MF), and misordering (MO). Writing test was carried out on &#xD; Tuesday, February 26th 2019. The findings in this study are such as; in error of addition, &#xD; the students made 160 or 24.06%; in error of addition, the students made 103 errors or &#xD; 15.49%; in error of misformation, the students made 379 errors or 56.0%; in error of &#xD; misordering, the students made 23 errors or 3.45%. Based on the table above, error of &#xD; misformation was the most frequent error in writing descriptive text made by students at the &#xD; second grade in SMKN 3 Mataram. There were 379 errors or 56.00% that were made from &#xD; 665 of total number of errors. On the other hand, error of misordering was the least error &#xD; that had 23 errors or 3.45% that were made by the students from 665 of total number of &#xD; errors.</description><date>2020</date><type>Thesis:Thesis</type><type>PeerReview:NonPeerReviewed</type><type>Book:Book</type><language>eng</language><identifier>http://eprints.unram.ac.id/15714/1/SKRIPSI%20MUHAMMAD%20MARENDRA%20RAMADHAN.pdf</identifier><identifier> MUHAMMAD, MARENDRA RAMADHAN (2020) ANALYSIS OF GRAMMATICAL ERROR IN DESCRIPTIVE TEXT MADE BY STUDENTS: A CASE STUDY AT THE ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SMKN 3 MATARAM IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2019.
