BENDING EPOXY</title><creator>ARDIANSYAH, ARDIANSYAH</creator><subject>T Technology (General)</subject><description>Epoxy is a thermoset synthetic products of the
reaction of polyepoxy resin with a hardening agent. Epoxy
much used as metric composite fibers, adhesive, and
coatings. The purpose of this research is to know the
influence of filler volume faction against the bending
strength epoxy for various filler.
The research is filler (pumice, glass, CaCO3,
cement and fly ash) epoxy and hardener epoxy resin. The
volume fraction is varied by 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and
25%.
The test results showed that shear bending
strength with increase in volume faction 5% to 25% in
general tended to decline with increasing the womb in
filler. In filler fly ash bending strength declined after
volume faction 10% is much as 5,60%, 10,42%, and
19,30% for to volume faction 15%, 20%, and 25%. In filler
pumice in a reduction of bending strength after volume
faction 10% is much as 1,30%, and 2,92% for to volume
faction 15% and 20%. In filler CaCO3 bending strength
declined after 5% volume faction is much as 4,78%,
5,57%, 6,95%, and 9,22% for to volume faction 10%, 15%,
20%, and 25%. In filler glass bending strength down in
volume faction 5% to 15% is much as 2,38%, and 4,21%.
While in filler cement bending strength declining only on
volume faction 25% is much as 0,74%. The addition of
volume faction filler in epoxy increase modulus elasticity
