- This thesis entitled “The Use of Language Choice in a Multilingual Bajo Community of Kampung Baru, Tanjung Luar Village” was written to provide deeper explanation of the language choice that is used by the member Bajo community in Kampung Baru, Tanjung Luar village. The data were collected by the researcher directly by using conversation recordings. The data recordings were transcribted into written dialogue. The researcher used discourse analysis to examine the data. This study was used descriptive qualitative method which means the writer used non statistical analysis to obtain the goal of this research. The researcher found that there are 6 types of language choice used by Bajo members which are Bajo-Sasak code-switching, Bahasa-Sasak code-switching, unmixed Bajo, unmixed Mandar, unmixed Sasak, and unmixed Bahasa. It was also found that there are 3 factors of language choice such as interlocutor, topic and purpose.
