  • This study aims to determine the percentage of carcasses and its prime parts of KUB chicken fed with different protein levels from day 5 and the last experiment was at 53 d of age. A total of 120- one day old chicks were assigned into a completely randomized design with three dietary treatments and 4 replicates of 10 birds each. Three different protein levels were 17, 19 and 21% containing metabolizable energy 3031, 3078 and 3141 kcal /kg diet respectively. Parameters measured were live weight, dressing percentage, breast yield, wing, thigh, drumstick and back bone. The study showed that no significant differences (P>0.05) on all of parameters were observed. However, the high protein level tends to perform better than that of the lower protein level. The final body weights were 466, 456, and 499 g. The average carcass weight and carcass percentage on protein treatment 17, 19, and 21% are as 264 g (57%), 256 g (56%), and 268 g (57%) respectively.
