- The purpose of this study was to evaluate the proction and composition (solid non fat and lactose) of crossbred Ettawa goats' milk raised at Genggelang Village, East Lombok district by giving gliricidia septum leaf as a sole diet. This study used fresh milk of 6 crossbred ettawa goats does (The third lactation period l with the average initial body weight of 40.7 ± 4,3 kg and 2,5-3 years old. Milk productions were measured by hand milking for one month and milk compositions were analyzed using AOAC method (1970) Each sample was a mixture of 6 does in each week. The data were analyzed using Arithmatic mean, and then discussed Deskriptvely The results showed that average milk production per goal per day was 867 ± 74 ml, with 2,14 ± 0,94% lactose dry matter without fat 11,99 ± 2,44%. These results were slightly lower than generally published value although, dry matter consumption exceeded requirement based on value recommended by Kartadisastra (1977). However this results in accordance to standard of milk quality as recommended by SIN, Dirjenak and Milk Codex.
