  • The Jangkok River is a river that flows into the Ampenan Beach. The river serves as a place for fisherman boat in the area around the coast. Until now, if it is seen in the field based on the results of aerial photography, the estuary of the Jangkok River has a potential change in the width of the river mouth due to sediment transport. From time to time the sediment changes; therefore, it causes the river mouth to enlarge and shrink but not closed. When the river mouth shrinks, it can block the flow of the river towards the sea. For this reason, a study to analyze sedimentation is needed to determine the width of Jangkok river mouth. The changing the width of the river mouth is seen using the aerial photography in 2015 and its measurements using the help of the Cad application. The analysing of the river mouth condition was using 1-D modeling by considering sediment transport from rivers and beaches. The results of the modeling are then compared to the results of aerial photographs and calculate the average error rate. From the modeling results, the smallest of the mouth width of the Jangkok river is 6.88 m with river and coastal sediment transports of 4.03 m3 / day and 5532.68 m3 / day, respectively. It occurs when the influence of the sediment transport from rivers and beaches are balance.
