  • The purpose of this research is to know the influence of application of probing prompting learning model toward outcome of chemistry learning on colloid system subject matter for grade XI science students at SMAN 1 Pringgasela. This research was a quasi experiment with nonequivalent control group design. Independent variable of this research was the learning model, whereas the the dependent variable was the learning outcomes. The population in this research were all grade XI science students at SMAN 1 Pringgasela in academic years of 2017/2018. Sample of this research were Science 2 grade XI as an experimental class and Science 1 grade XI as a control class. The instrument was a multiple choice test. Research hypothesis was tested by one way Anova. The result of Anova showed Fcount (6.02) > Ftable(4.06) which lead to Ha acceptance. Based on these results, it could be concluded that probing prompting learning model was better toward outcome of chemistry learning on colloid system subject matter for grade XI science students at SMAN 1 Pringgasela in comparison to those taught by conventional learning.
