  • The Purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the useful energy and the efficiency of dryied process by variation the speed of the air and the mass of corn on corn dried process. Based on SNI, the maximum moisture content of corn storage was 14%. Corn used in this study was corn that had been shelled with a maximum moisture content of 20% and tolerance of ± 0.5%. The Corn was dried by entering it into the drying chamber of the fluidization device which is given a certain of air speed and mass of incoming material. Airspeed variations used are 6.5 m / s, 7 m / s and 7.5 m / s. While the mass variation of the material used are 0.2 kg, 0.4 kg and 0.6 kg. From the variations of air speed and air temperature, the result showed that the higher the air velocity, then the faster the drying time. And the lower the mass of corn, then the faster the drying time. The most optimal of variations air speed and the mass of corn are obtained at an air speed of 7.5 m / s with a corn mass of 0.2 kg which requires the fastest dried time was 20 minutes to reach water content of 13.9%. And the optimal efficiency in this study occurred at an air speed of 7 m / s with a material mass of 0.6 kg that was 18.12%
