AKTIVITAS ANTIARTRITIS KOMBINASI EKSTRAK ETANOL AKAR ALANG-ALANG (Imperata Cilindrica L.) DAN RIMPANG JAHE MERAH (Zingiber Officinale Rosch.) TERHADAP TIKUS YANG DIINDUKSI COMPLETE FREUND’S ADJUVANT (CFA)

- Arthritis is a desease effecting the musculoskeletal system, muscles, connective tissue, and soft tissue around the joints and bones. Rheumatoid arthritis is a type of arthritis that is caused by an autoimunne reaction. The purpose of this study was determination of Imperata rhizome and red ginger rhizome. This study used five groups of rats and Complete Frund’s Adjuvant induced 0,2 ml. Each group was given treatment. Group 1 was given a Imperata rhizome rhizome extract single 50 mg/200g BB rats, group 2 was given a red ginger rhizome single 56 mg/200kg BB rats, given a combination of Imperata rhizome rhizome extract and red ginger rhizome, group 4 was given of triaamcinolone, 0,072 mg/200g BB rats, and feed all 5 groups CMC 1%. Test material is administered orally, and edema volume measurements using plethysmograph and seen an increase in body weigth of rats, decrease leucocyte count, percentage decrease of edema volume, and improvement in joint histolopathology profiles foot male rats. The results showed that the extract of imperata rhizome of imperata rhizome has the ability to reduce both the volume of the edema, and red ginger has thre ability to lose weight. While the repair joint histopathology profiles produced by the positive control triamcinolone. Combination of red ginger rhizome extract and imperata red ginger have the ability to reduce the number of leucocyte. - Artiritis merupakan penyakit yang menyerang sistem muskuloskeletal, otot-otot, jaringan ikat, dan jaringan lunak di sekitar persendian dan tulang. Artritis rematoid meruapakan salah satu jenis artrits yang disebakan karena reaksi autoimun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui aktivitas antiartritis kombinasi ekstrak tunggal akar alang-alang dan rimpang jahe merah. Pengujian efek antiartritis dilakukan dengan 5 kelompok tikus, tiap kelompok diinduksi Complete Freund’s Adjuvant (CFA). Masing-masing kelompok di beri perlakuan, kelompok 1 diberi ekstrak tunggal akar alang-alang 50 mg/kg BB tikus, kelompok 2 diberikan ekstrak tunggal rimpang jahe merah 56 mg/kg BB tikus, kelompok 3 diberikan kombnasi ekstrak tunggal akar alang-alang dan rimpang jahe merah (0,5:0,5) kelompok 4 diberikan triamsinolon 0,072 mg/kg BB tikus, dan kelompok 5 diberikan CMC 1 %. Bahan uji diberikan secara oral, kemudian dilakukan pengukuran volume udem menggunakan alat pletismometer dan dilihat peningkatan berat badan tikus, penurunan jumlah leukosit, persentase penurunan volume udem, penurunan jumlah leukosit dan perbaikan nprofil histopatologi persendian pada kaki tikus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak tunggal akar alang-alang mempunyai kemampuan menurunkan persentase penurunan volume udem paling baik, ekstrak tunggal rimpang jahe merah memiliki kemampuan menurunkan berat badan dan perbaikan profil histopatologi persendian dihasilkan oleh kontrol positif triamsinolon. Sedangkan kombiansi ekstrak tunggal akar alang-alang dan rimpang jahe merah mempunyai kemampuan menurunkan jumlah leukosit.
