HUBUNGAN ANTARA SOCIAL COMPARISON DAN HARGA DIRI TERHADAP CITRA TUBUH PADA REMAJA PEREMPUAN

- Citra tubuh merupakan hal yang sangat penting bagi seorang remaja. Remaja perempuan memiliki kekhawatiran yang lebih tinggi terhadap konsep citra tubuh yang dimiliki. Seseorang biasanya dalam menilai citra tubuh yang dimiliki melalui sebuah social comparison dan juga menilai harga diri yang dimiliki untuk menghasilkan penilaian citra tubuh yang negatif ataukah positif. Subjek pada peneitian ini berjumlah 100 orang remaja perempuan yang berusia 15-18 tahun. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah cluster random sampling. Alat ukur penelitian yang digunakan ialah Skala Citra Tubuh, Skala Social Comparison, dan Skala Harga Diri. Hasil uji analisis regresi ganda menunjukan nilai R 0,729 dan R2 0,532 sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa perbandingan sosial dan harga diri menentukan 53,2% citra tubuh yang dimiliki oleh remaja perempuan. Koefisien beta terstandarisasi dari social comparison sebesar -0,411 dengan nilai t sebesar -5,063 dan memiliki taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (<0,05) yang menunjukkan bahwa social comparison berhubungan terhadap citra tubuh, nilai t yang negatif menunjukan bahwa variabel social comparison memiliki hubungan yang berlawanan terhadap variabel citra tubuh, dimana artinya hubungan antara perbandingan sosial dan citra tubuh berbanding terbalik yaitu semakin tinggi social comparison, maka akan semakin rendah citra tubuhnya begitupun sebaliknya. Variabel harga diri memiliki koefisien beta terstandarisasi sebesar -0,427 dengan nilai t sebesar -5,258 dan memiliki taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,00 (<0,05) yang menunjukkan bahwa harga diri berhubungan terhadap citra tubuh, nilai t yang negatif menunjukan bahwa variabel harga diri memiliki hubungan yang berlawanan terhadap variabel citra tubuh, dimana artinya hubungan antara harga diri dan citra tubuh berbanding terbalik yaitu semakin tinggi harga diri, maka akan semakin rendah citra tubuhnya begitupun sebaliknya. - Body image is very important for adolescent. Adolescent girls have concerns that higher against the concept of body image that is owned. Someone usually in assessing body image which is owned through a social comparison and also assess the self esteem for generating a negative or positive body image assessment. Subjects in this research amounted to 100 adolescent girls aged 15-18 years. The technique sampling used in this research is cluster random sampling. Measuring instrument used in this study is the Body Image Scale, Social Comparison Scale, and Self-Esteem Scale. The result of multiple regression analysis showed the value of R 0,729 and R2 0,532 so that it can be said that the ratio of social and self-esteem to body image determines the 53.2% owned by adolescent girls.
