- This research argued that lllegal trafficking in persons increasingly flows from lndonesia to Malaysia today is not only an issue of crime but also security. The researcher underlined that the impacts of the illegal trafficking causes wider concern due to the facts that it also challenges dignity of lndonesian people.He fufther pointed out that the lndonesian government still views that the illegal trafficking is not an issue of security. Such view explains the lndonesian government's normative approach in handling various cases of illegaltrafficking in order not to damage its bilateral relations with the Malaysian govemment.
