- AbstractStudent learning outcomes are still low and students have difficulty understanding and remembering the material concepts that have been given this which is the background in this study. The purpose of the research is to find out whether there is an effect of the application of the discovery learning model to the mathematics learning outcomes of XI IPS students of SMA PGRI 1 Padang. This type of research is Pre Experimental Design, with a research design that is one shot case study. The population of this study was all students of class XI IPS SMA PGRI 1 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year consisting of two classes. Sampling is done based on purposive sample, the selected sample is class XI IPS 1. The instrument used in this study is the final test in the form of a description problem. The data analysis technique is done by one-party t test. Based on the results of the calculation it can be concluded that there is an influence of the application of discovery learning models to the mathematics learning outcomes of XI IPS students at SMA PGRI 1 Padang. AbstrakHasil belajar siswa yang masih rendah dan siswa kesulitan dalam memahami dan mengingat konsep materi yang telah diberikan hal ini yang menjadi latar belakang penelitian. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh penerapan model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPS SMA PGRI 1 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre Eksperimental Design, dengan desain penelitian yaitu one shot case study. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS SMA PGRI 1 Padang yang terdaftar pada tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 yang terdiri dari dua kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan berdasarkan purposive sample, sampel yang terpilih adalah kelas XI IPS 1. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes akhir berbentuk soal uraian. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan yaitu uji t satu pihak. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan model discovery learning terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XI IPS SMA PGRI 1 Padang.
