  • Organizational communication is an interdependent element that enables the organizational structure to develop by providing tools to separate individuals to coordinate their activities so as not to become static that can create harmony so that organizational goals and objectives can be achieved, good and effective communication can make employee performance better. This thesis is titled organizational communication in improving employee performance at the Seberida Sub-District Head Office in Indragiri Hulu Regency. The research aims to determine organizational communication in improving employee performance at the Seberida Sub-District Head Office in Indragiri Hulu Regency, while the theoretical model used is the theory of communication in government. The analysis of this study is to use a qualitative descriptive method with the techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data display, and conclusion / verification. The results of the research on organizational communication in improving employee performance at the sub-district sub-district office as indragiri hulu district were categorized as "Fairly Good". Namely there are still some obstacles such as: 1). lack of understanding of employees, causing confusion and implementation of work and there are still employees who do not know the basic tasks of what functions to do. 2) lack of superiors and subordinates in communication, there is a performance of employees who are lacking in discipline, delaying workers, not on time in completing work and superiors do not care about their subordinates. 3) There are still many employees who arrive late when they enter service at the Seberida Sub-District Head Office in Indragiri Hulu Regency.
