- The trompong constitutes one of the instruments which is used in sets or barungan of Gong Kebyar, Gong Gede, semar Pagulingan, and Gong Luwang, in this writing, the study will be focused on the instrument trompong in Gong Kebyar. Organological aspects of trompong kebyar are investigated with respects to materials, techniques and chronological manufacture which envelopes pelawah, pencon, and panggul. The outcome of this study, and its connection which the culture that forms its background is later researched.
