- Contextual English Book 1 is designed for the purpose to improve the students skill both in Oral Cycle (listening and speaking skill) and Written Cycle (reading and writing skill). The activities in this book encourage the students to develop their competence in using English as well as their discourse and cultural levels. At the of each unit, the students are expected to be able to apply their knowledge they got before in grow up. Each semester is provided with review for semester as the tool to measure the students’ comprehension of the materials. Furthermore, they are also expected to be able to create various English types by genre based approach.
