- Teacher’s professionalism determines the quality of madrasah (school). A professional teacher seems to do the tasks well and to have a good materials and methods in improving students’ competency. A great teacher can ensure the teaching and learning outcomes. The study aimed at discovering the influence of the madrasah principal’s managerial skills and work cultue on teacher’s professionalism, This quantitative research was conducted in the area of Semarang Regency. The population of this study was 134 teachers from 7 private Madrasah Aliyah in this regency and sample of 100 respondents was determined using proportional random sampling techniques. Data were collected by questionnaire. Findings of the research are (1) there is an influence of the madrasah principal’s management skills on teacher’s professionalism of 20.8%, (2) there is an influence of work culture on teacher’s professionalism of 29.5%. (3) There is an influence of the madrasah principal’s managerial skills and work culture on teacher’s professionalism at private Madrasah Aliyah in Semarang Regency of 36.1%.
