- ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh penerapan metode proyek terhadap kemampuan rasa percaya diri anak usia 5-6 tahun di Tk Santa Lusia Medan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian eksperimen. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah True Ekperimental Design dengan bentuk Posttest Only Control Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah semua anak TK B Santa Lusia Medan 130 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara random sampling, setelah selesai dikocok maka diambil satu kertas satu untuk menjadi kelas kontrol, dan kemudian satu kertas lagi diambil untuk menjadi kelas eksperimen sehingga didapat kelas B1 yang berjumlah 31 orang untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas B2 yang berjumlah 31 orang untuk kelas kontrol. Analisis yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah statistik deskriptif dengan uji-t dengan taraf nyata α = 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh nilai rata-rata anak yang menggunakan metode proyek (mencocokkan bentuk geometri) terhadap rasa percaaya diri anak adalah (14,16) dengan nilai tertinggi 16 dan nilai terendah 12. Sedangkan nilai rata-rata anak yang menggunakan metode demonstrasi (mencocokkan bentuk geometri) terhadap rasa percaya diri anak adalah (11,19) dengan nilai tertinggi 12 dan nilai terendah 9. Dari uji hipotesis diperoleh bahwa thitung > ttabel , yaitu 9,31 > 1,670 pada taraf α= 0,05. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa adanya pengaruh penerapan metode proyek terhadap kemampuan rasa percaya diri anak. Kata Kunci : metode proyek, rasa percaya diri anak ABSTRACT This research aimed to determine the influences of the implementation of the project methods on the confidence of children aged 5-6 years in the kindergarten Santa Lusia Medan. The type of research used in this study was a type of experimental research. The designof this study was True Experimental Design with Posttest Only Control Design form. Population in this research was all children kindergarten B Santa Lusia Medan 130 students. The sampling technique was carried out by random sampling, when it was completed, one paper was taken to become a control class, and then one more paper was taken to become an experimental class so that the B1 class consisted of 31 students for the experimental class and the B2 class consisted of 31 students for the control class. The analysis which was done in this research is a descriptive statistic with a test-T with a real-level α = 0.05.Based on the results of data analysis obtained the average value of children using the project method (matching the Geometry form) to the children’sself-confidencewas (14.16) with the highest score of 16 and the lowest value was 12. While the average value of a child using a demonstration method (matching the shape of geometry) to the children’s self-confidence was (11.19) with the highest value of 12 and the lowest value was9. From the hypothesis test obtained that Tcount> this, namely 9.31 > 1.670 at α = 0.05. Therefore it can be said that there wasthe effect on the implementation of the project methods on children's self-confidence. Keywords: Project Methods, Child Confidence
